About This Tool

This tool generates dummy text files of specified size. It is intended for use in the following cases:

Testing file upload functionality
Verifying specific file size processing
Testing file size limits
Validating storage capacity planning
Network bandwidth testing

Note: Generating very large files (over 100MB) consumes significant browser memory, and depending on your device, processing may take time or the browser may become unresponsive. Files larger than 2GB cannot be generated.

All processing is done within your browser, and no data is sent to any server. Files are downloaded directly and are released from memory after generation.

How to Use

Enter a filename (default is "dummy-file.txt")
Select the file size and unit (B, KB, MB, GB)
Choose the file content pattern (random characters, zeros only, numbers only, custom)
If you select custom pattern, enter the text to repeat
Click the "Generate File" button to download the dummy file
